Jubilee Weekend Singapore 2015

Jubilee weekend is just 2 weeks away! There is a variety of programs planned at many places around the island, which is a perfect time for celebration and reflection with your family.

As announced earlier this year, 7 August 2015 (Friday) is a Public Holiday to mark Singapore 50th anniversary. This will make a long Jubilee Weekend (7th to 10th August) to allow all Singaporeans participate in celebrating this special milestone in our nation’s history.

“SG50 is a unique moment in our young nation’s history. It is a time for us to show appreciation to our pioneers, to strengthen our ties as one big Singaporean family, and to celebrate all that is special, all that we love, about our home. Many Singaporeans and organisations have come up with ideas on how to make SG50 meaningful and personal.”

In conjunction with this Jubilee Weekend, government have prepared many special programmes for Singaporeans around the island, including Marina Bay area, Singapore Botanic Gardens, Singapore Sports Hub and national parks. There are special concessions at public attractions and facilities. Museums and heritage galleries will remain open for Singaporeans to revisit and experience afresh the journey of Singapore’s story.
