Happy Mother’s Day

The present Mother’s Day was initiated by Anna Jarvis, who is also known as the Founder of Mother’s Day in United States. She wanted to fulfil one of her own mother’s wish which is to dedicate a day to honor all mothers, living and dead, and pay tribute to the love and contributions made by them. Together with her supporters, she wrote letters for the official declaration of Mother’s Day holiday. Her hard work paid off on May 8, 1914, when President Woodrow Wilson signed a Joint Resolution designating the 2nd Sunday in May as Mother’s Day.

Becoming a mother is a very privileged role; it is given, not obtained.
